Terms of Service

Plain-language terms that govern your use of English Trove.

1. Overview

English Trove (www.englishtrove.com) is operated by Tahsin Yildiz. By creating an account or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. What the Service Provides

English Trove is an online platform that offers downloadable English language teaching materials — including worksheets, lesson plans, grammar exercises, vocabulary activities, and speaking prompts — for use by educators.

  • Free plan: Browse and download up to 3 materials per day at no cost.
  • Unlimited plan ($5/month): Unlimited downloads with no daily cap.

All materials are delivered as digital downloads (primarily PDF files). No physical products are shipped.

3. Account Registration

You may register using an email and password or through Google Sign-In. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Paid subscriptions are processed through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. When you subscribe:

  • You will be billed $5 per month, recurring on the same date each month.
  • Payment is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy. English Trove does not store your credit card or payment details.
  • Your subscription starts immediately upon successful payment.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Lemon Squeezy customer portal. Here's how cancellations work:

  • When you cancel, you keep access to unlimited downloads until the end of your current billing period.
  • After the billing period ends, your account reverts to the free plan (3 downloads per day).
  • Because the service provides immediate access to digital content, refunds are generally not offered for partial billing periods.
  • If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using the service, contact us and we'll do our best to make it right.

6. Acceptable Use of Materials

When you download materials from English Trove, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use them for educational purposes. This means:

You may:

  • Print and use materials in your own classroom or tutoring sessions.
  • Share printed copies with your students as part of a lesson.
  • Store downloaded files on your personal devices for your own teaching use.

You may not:

  • Redistribute, resell, or share digital copies of downloaded materials with others (including other teachers).
  • Upload materials to other websites, file-sharing platforms, or social media.
  • Modify materials and claim them as your own work.
  • Use materials for any commercial purpose beyond your own classroom teaching.

7. Copyright & Intellectual Property

All teaching materials, content, graphics, and other resources available on English Trove are the intellectual property of Tahsin Yildiz / English Trove, unless otherwise stated. All rights are reserved.

Downloading materials does not transfer ownership. You are granted a license to use them as described in Section 6 above.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or site systems.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to bulk-download materials.
  • Submit false information or abuse the rating/feedback systems.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

English Trove is provided "as is." While we strive to keep the site running smoothly and the materials accurate, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or that all materials will be free from errors.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, English Trove and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or its materials. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Privacy

Your use of English Trove is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll note the new "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of English Trove shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.
